The corner ended in Leonid Malafeev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Новгород TS's Tord Åkerman did a great save. Tord Åkerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gennadiy Demyanenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Arkadiy Dorenskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Åkerman having to interfere. The corner ended in Máté Brothers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Krasnodar FC's Oriche Vega did a great save. Tord Åkerman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gennadiy Demyanenko went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Oriche Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Новгород TS's goal looked a bit too open when Gennadiy Demyanenko came free, but Tord Åkerman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krasnodar FC's Oriche Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viviano Baños in the 53rd minute of play. Krasnodar FC's Matvey Ermolin was substituted for Mikhail Ignatov. 86 minutes into the match, Gennadiy Demyanenko notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Новгород TS's Tord Åkerman. Tord Åkerman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute of the match, Matvey Ermolin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tord Åkerman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leonid Malafeev hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes, Refik Halit İribaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Новгород TS and the Krasnodar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Новгород TS getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Refik Halit İribaş hit a great ball. The Новгород TS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Krasnodar FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Krasnodar FC.
