Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurice Omosh kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Wilson Khadudu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erith's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poulton-Le-Fylde the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Erith fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! David Ereng shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Richard Murunga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Omosh came free, but Sudha Kitur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Maurice Omosh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erith's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice Omosh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sudha Kitur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Kevoo during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Poulton-Le-Fylde booed when Erith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Kevoo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. David Ereng hit a great ball. Siaree Amanaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samson Ndereba, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Sudha Kitur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredrick Ruto went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Poulton-Le-Fylde's Samson Ndereba got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samson Ndereba made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrick Ruto came free, but Sudha Kitur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. William Songok hit a great ball. The supporters of Poulton-Le-Fylde booed when Erith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Munyoro Otunga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Samson Ndereba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Siaree Amanaka. The goal made the score 3-1. 66 minutes in the game, Samson Ndereba fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Siaree Amanaka having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Omosh in the 67th minute of play forced Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Sudha Kitur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Murunga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Siaree Amanaka made a huge save. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Paul Ongao hit a great ball. In the 82nd play minute Richard Murunga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Siaree Amanaka. 3-2. In the 88th minute, Fredrick Ruto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erith fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. When Fredrick Ruto came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Erith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrick Ruto couldn't finish the play. Sudha Kitur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrick Ruto, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Erith's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
