Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thomas Korir kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Kipketer in the 3rd minute of play forced NAIROBI FC's goalkeeper Zedekiah Atieno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Caistor got a freekick which was hit by Kipchoge Denno. Thomas Korir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Omar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of NAIROBI FC booed when Caistor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kipchoge Denno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Caistor's Jackson Odera Oruka got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Caistor's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Korir came free, but David Omar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thomas Korir came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the NAIROBI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Korir couldn't finish the play. David Omar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Akinyi in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Caistor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adah Asati to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Thomas Korir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Omar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Wainaina got free with Zedekiah Atieno in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrick Wainaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Zedekiah Atieno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Wainaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zedekiah Atieno having to interfere. NAIROBI FC's Zedekiah Atieno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Kipketer in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Emmanuel Kipketer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zedekiah Atieno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half NAIROBI FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuel Kipketer to make the kick off. David Omar made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Patrick Akinyi sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Caistor's Emmanuel Kipketer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zedekiah Atieno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Patrick Wainaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Wainaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88thth minute of the game Patrick Wainaina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NAIROBI FC's Zedekiah Atieno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ratemo Oundo charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ratemo Oundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Caistor booed when NAIROBI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ratemo Oundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kipchoge Denno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Wainaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caistor were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing NAIROBI FC to leave the ground with a draw.
