Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harilal Lagat got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Axbridge's goalkeeper Paul Nekesa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Romaldkirk got a freekick which was hit by Francis Kogo. Paul Nekesa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Salim Swedan in the 14th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bernard Mwangi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Mwangi was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With his leg Paul Mwangi managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Axbridge's Christopher Chepkemei fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paul Nekesa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harilal Lagat, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Bernard Mwangi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paul Mwangi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joseph Salim Swedan in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Nekesa saved Axbridge from getting behind. Paul Mwangi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Mwangi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Romaldkirk's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Mwangi came free, but Paul Mwangi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Axbridge's zone, Joseph Salim Swedan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Nekesa came out of the goal and Joseph Salim Swedan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paul Nekesa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harilal Lagat in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Harilal Lagat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romaldkirk's supporters rose to their feet, but Harilal Lagat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Nekesa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Bernard Mwangi made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ondoro Kivilu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Bernard Mwangi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Romaldkirk's Paul Mwangi. Paul Mwangi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Harilal Lagat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christopher Chepkemei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Mwangi having to make a save. In the 69th minute, Tom Leakey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Romaldkirk's Francis Kogo tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Romaldkirk's Harilal Lagat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Nekesa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A hard shot 78 in the game by Joseph Salim Swedan from a close distance when the talented Paul Nekesa managed to make a qualified save. Axbridge's players were relieved. In the 79th minute of the match Yusuf Koech shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Mwangi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Samuel Ngigi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Mwangi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Chepkemei, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Paul Mwangi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christopher Chepkemei went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Christopher Chepkemei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Salim Swedan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Nekesa having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Axbridge's goal looked a bit too open when Harilal Lagat came free, but Paul Nekesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Axbridge got a freekick which was hit by Ngũgĩ wa Wangeci. Axbridge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
