Spectators: 9258 (Terracing: 6945, Seating: 2129, VIP seats: 184) Benjamin Kimutai Rop made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Israel came free, but Mahmoud Kipsang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mahmoud Kipsang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohinda Okoth in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Team Name's goalkeeper Christopher Leakey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Muhoho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Muhoho in the 12th minute of play forced Team Name's goalkeeper Christopher Leakey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Team Name booed when St Ives FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Muhoho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohinda Okoth kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Christopher Leakey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Kimutai Rop in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Patrick Alfie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Name's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Alfie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mahmoud Kipsang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dann Okoth came free, but Mahmoud Kipsang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. St Ives FC's Mahmoud Kipsang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Alfie in the 34th minute of play. Mahmoud Kipsang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohinda Okoth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohinda Okoth hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Joseph Muhoho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ben Atieno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Christopher Leakey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oburu Boit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the St Ives FC defense, Mohinda Okoth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mahmoud Kipsang. The St Ives FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mahmoud Kipsang should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Patrick Alfie made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Kalonzo Kipkoech mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Team Name and the St Ives FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute of the match Sammy Waithaka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christopher Leakey skillfully saved the ball. If Sammy Waithaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in St Ives FC's zone, Patrick Alfie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahmoud Kipsang came out of the goal and Patrick Alfie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yusuf Israel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Mahmoud Kipsang made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Alfie in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mahmoud Kipsang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mohinda Okoth succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 72nd playminute. 76 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goalkeeper Mahmoud Kipsang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohinda Okoth. Mahmoud Kipsang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dann Okoth in the 79th minute of the match. Yusuf Israel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Team Name:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of St Ives FC:s goal. Sammy Waithaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Leakey having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Team Name got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Mutuku. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohinda Okoth got free with Mahmoud Kipsang in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dann Okoth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Kirui struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Christopher Leakey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Ives FC.
