Gabriel Shah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Chuma Munji in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Donnington AFC's Fred Dawkins got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Zedekiah Maathai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christopher Kimathi's late challenge caught a Mufasa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Kimathi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mufasa FC booed when Donnington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Kimathi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Donnington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fred Dawkins. Gabriel Shah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Chuma Munji, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donnington AFC's Moses Cheboiboch shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tony Asati but with some difficulty. Zedekiah Maathai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gabriel Shah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilson Chuma Munji was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Charles Kariuki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Charles Kariuki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Asati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Tony Asati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Kariuki's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Mufasa FC's Joseph Ekombe got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Charles Kariuki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tony Asati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Charles Kariuki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Charles Kariuki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mufasa FC's Tony Asati was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tony Asati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Kariuki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mufasa FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
