Dan Okayo came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sammy Nekesa could save by the left post. A collision led to Penzance getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Antony Ngeny hit a great ball. With a little luck, Hazel Sport Club's Sammy Nekesa got control of the ball when Dan Okayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Antony Ngeny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penzance's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hazel Sport Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, Penzance's Antony Ngeny got a free kick in the 30th minute. Bernard Leakey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Sang having to interfere. Sammy Nekesa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antony Ngeny showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. Dan Okayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hazel Sport Club's Sammy Nekesa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Hazel Sport Club from getting a goal against them. Sammy Nekesa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antony Ngeny showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernard Leakey to strike the kick off in the second half. Lepirei Lukoye took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sammy Nekesa. Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sammy Nekesa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antony Ngeny's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, one of Hazel Sport Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dan Okayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sammy Nekesa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, John Oloo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antony Ngeny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Nekesa having to interfere. John Oloo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Dan Okayo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Sammy Nekesa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penzance. If Antony Ngeny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Ngeny in the 94th minute of play forced Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper Sammy Nekesa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Penzance's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
