Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. But to his dismay, Shaya Naghdabadi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Royston's zone, Gholam Reza Moradian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danush Javaherian came out of the goal and Gholam Reza Moradian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mostafa Aghazadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Yahya Narimani took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kouros Montazeri to make any attempt to save it. Asghar Kaebi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Danush Javaherian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mostafa Aghazadeh to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Rawdon United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asghar Kaebi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Shaya Naghdabadi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaya Naghdabadi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asghar Kaebi might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danush Javaherian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asghar Kaebi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmad Reza Esfahani's late challenge caught a Royston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmad Reza Esfahani helped the player get up and apologised.
