Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Haydock United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Siavash Ghayeghran in the 6th minute. Siavash Ghayeghran made a great header on Haydock United's corner, it was just that Herne Hill United's Ardeshir Montazeri managed to reach the ball for a save. Yaghoub Marfavi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Haydock United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Farbod Hasanzadeh to maneuver through the defense. Mehrak Zandi struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jalal Rostampour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herne Hill United. When Bijan Ghobadi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haydock United's protests and gave Bijan Ghobadi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Haydock United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bijan Ghobadi to maneuver through the defense. Anoushiravan Hosseini, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 21st minute, Bijan Ghobadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Anoushiravan Hosseini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jalal Rostampour skillfully saved the ball. Jalal Rostampour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaghoub Marfavi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ardeshir Montazeri came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Haydock United's Sattar Mahdavikia. But to his dismay, Sattar Mahdavikia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Herne Hill United's zone, Fereydoon Nosrati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ardeshir Montazeri came out of the goal and Fereydoon Nosrati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fereydoon Nosrati struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ardeshir Montazeri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haydock United. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Sattar Mahdavikia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Herne Hill United's Hormoz Ghoreishi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Sattar Mahdavikia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haydock United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sattar Mahdavikia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sattar Mahdavikia was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Haydock United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salman Farzanian to maneuver through the defense. Jalal Rostampour was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Yaghoub Marfavi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yaghoub Marfavi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Yaghoub Marfavi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jalal Rostampour having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sattar Mahdavikia in the 66th minute of play forced Herne Hill United's goalkeeper Ardeshir Montazeri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Yaghoub Marfavi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jalal Rostampour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Haydock United's Salman Farzanian got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 77 played minutes, Herne Hill United's Anoushiravan Hosseini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jalal Rostampour came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Herne Hill United reached it. With a little luck, Haydock United's Jalal Rostampour got control of the ball when Mehrak Zandi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fereydoon Nosrati struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ardeshir Montazeri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haydock United. Hormoz Ghoreishi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jalal Rostampour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jalal Rostampour made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Mehrak Zandi sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Haydock United's zone, Yaghoub Marfavi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jalal Rostampour came out of the goal and Yaghoub Marfavi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Haydock United! Jalal Rostampour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaghoub Marfavi in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Herne Hill United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
