Sharjah FC's Ayman Jiragh got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joop Minnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shehab Al Qattan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patryk Owsiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meshal Al Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sharjah FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ayman Jiragh hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Shehab Al Qattan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joop Minnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Meshal Al Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patryk Owsiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patryk Owsiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meshal Al Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohammad Al Srae kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Wasel Al Bahar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sharjah FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 21 played minutes Sharjah FC got a freekick which was hit by Ayman Jiragh. Patryk Owsiak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Meshal Al Herz in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Hamzah Khorshed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alwahda FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Patryk Owsiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yazeed Dehrab, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Patryk Owsiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meshal Al Herz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patryk Owsiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yazeed Dehrab in the 40th minute of play. Joop Minnen came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Alwahda FC's Hamzah Khorshed. But to his dismay, Hamzah Khorshed quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 44 minutes, Zahid Al Attar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alwahda FC and the Sharjah FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zahid Al Attar kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Alwahda FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamzah Khorshed to strike the kick off in the second half. Patryk Owsiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasel Al Bahar in the 53rd minute of play. Alwahda FC's Patryk Owsiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meshal Al Herz in the 54th minute of play. Joop Minnen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shehab Al Qattan in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Alwahda FC were awarded a corner. Jalal Al Rodhan went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meshal Al Herz in the 62nd minute of play forced Alwahda FC's goalkeeper Patryk Owsiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hamzah Khorshed came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Alwahda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamzah Khorshed couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute Wasel Al Bahar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patryk Owsiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sharjah FC's Joop Minnen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Sharjah FC from getting a goal against them. When Meqdad Taiban came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Alwahda FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 72nd minute Yazeed Dehrab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patryk Owsiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Hamzah Khorshed reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joop Minnen. The goal made the score 1-3. Meshal Al Herz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Hamzah Khorshed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joop Minnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yahya Al Jalahma charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yahya Al Jalahma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sharjah FC booed when Alwahda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Al Jalahma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazen Al Mahmed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayman Jiragh kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Meqdad Taiban took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Joop Minnen to make any attempt to save it. Patryk Owsiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasel Al Bahar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Alwahda FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alwahda FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
