Alay City's Aleksey Holodnyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoriy Kuvshinnikov in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alay City's zone, Grigoriy Kuvshinnikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Holodnyi came out of the goal and Grigoriy Kuvshinnikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th match minute, Alay City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Alekseenko to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Oleg Tochilin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksey Holodnyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Innokentiy Dyuzhev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alay City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Innokentiy Dyuzhev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Konovalov got free with Anatoliy Luzhnyi in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half The Hun Empire were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Innokentiy Dyuzhev to strike the kick off in the second half. The Hun Empire's Klim Smehov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Petr Belenko, made in the 52nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, The Hun Empire's Stanislav Bestemyanov got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alay City's goalkeeper Aleksey Holodnyi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aleksey Holodnyi made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Oleg Tochilin sent off a good shot on target. Grigoriy Kuvshinnikov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Aleksey Holodnyi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded The Hun Empire left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alay City.
