He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Samtop FC reached it. In the 9th minute, Bhrngara Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Candravijaya Raj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samtop FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Market Drayton City defense, Candravijaya Raj kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ansa Grewal. The Market Drayton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ansa Grewal should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Randeep Bangopadhyay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Market Drayton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Randeep Bangopadhyay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bhanucandra Kharka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Bhrngara Mendes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 24th minute Candravijaya Raj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ansa Grewal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atisthira Krishnamurthy struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ansa Grewal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samtop FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bhrngara Mendes in the 27th minute of play forced Samtop FC's goalkeeper Bhanucandra Kharka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dayaram Gupta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bhrngara Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bhanucandra Kharka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bhrngara Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Bhanucandra Kharka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dayaram Gupta went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Candravijaya Raj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Bhrngara Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Astrita Vadhwa fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Samtop FC's Bhanucandra Kharka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bhrngara Mendes in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Samtop FC's zone, Bhrngara Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bhanucandra Kharka came out of the goal and Bhrngara Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Randeep Bangopadhyay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhanucandra Kharka having to interfere. Bhanucandra Kharka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bhrngara Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Chants of Samtop FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Market Drayton City had held the ball for most of the match.
