Spectators: 7866 (Terracing: 5901, Seating: 1809, VIP seats: 156) Ambaka Kumar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sowerby Bridge AFC's goalkeeper Atandra Chawla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Bisvajita Kamle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Atandra Chawla. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambaka Kumar in the 14th minute of play forced Newlyn East AFC's goalkeeper Cidambara Tangadavi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Newlyn East AFC's Atandra Chawla threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bisvajita Kamle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bhairavasin Nahal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Atandra Chawla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cidambara Tangadavi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasi Mohan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sowerby Bridge AFC's zone, Bisvajita Kamle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atandra Chawla came out of the goal and Bisvajita Kamle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambaka Kumar charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambaka Kumar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Sowerby Bridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambaka Kumar to maneuver through the defense. Newlyn East AFC's Cidambara Tangadavi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dipak Dalel in the 33rd minute of play. Cidambara Tangadavi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambaka Kumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Adipa Upadhyay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newlyn East AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adipa Upadhyay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atandra Chawla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Newlyn East AFC's Adipa Upadhyay got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atandra Chawla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adipa Upadhyay in the 44th minute. Newlyn East AFC's Mohanakrishnan Tind got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cidambara Tangadavi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambaka Kumar in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adipa Upadhyay to make the kick off. Atandra Chawla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adipa Upadhyay in the 53rd minute of the match. Bisvajita Kamle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atandra Chawla having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Sowerby Bridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bisvajita Kamle came free, but Atandra Chawla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Newlyn East AFC's Cidambara Tangadavi got control of the ball when Kasi Mohan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute Adipa Upadhyay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atandra Chawla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Sowerby Bridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Avacuda Som. Bisvajita Kamle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atandra Chawla having to make a save. Atandra Chawla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adipa Upadhyay in the 75th minute of play. Atandra Chawla came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Newlyn East AFC's Bisvajita Kamle. But to his dismay, Bisvajita Kamle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adipa Upadhyay in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atandra Chawla saved Sowerby Bridge AFC from getting behind. After 83 minutes, Bisvajita Kamle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newlyn East AFC and the Sowerby Bridge AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bisvajita Kamle hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Atandra Chawla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adipa Upadhyay's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Sowerby Bridge AFC's Atandra Chawla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kshitij Marathe in the 86th minute of play. Atandra Chawla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adityesa Attwal in the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Sowerby Bridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dipak Dalel to maneuver through the defense. Newlyn East AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
