Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Devavesman Krishnan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Avitsit Basrai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teju Chaddha in the 5th minute of play. Teju Chaddha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avitsit Basrai having to interfere. Aparimita Wahlia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guntas Dube having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeet Jha in the 13th minute of play forced Swinton's goalkeeper Guntas Dube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guntas Dube stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeet Jha's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeet Jha in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guntas Dube saved Swinton from getting behind. Guntas Dube stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeet Jha's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Jeet Jha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guntas Dube having to make a save. In the 27th minute Devavesman Krishnan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avitsit Basrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Devavesman Krishnan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avitsit Basrai was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Mandip Saha hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kakunda Pant was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Swinton's Guntas Dube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeet Jha in the 38th minute of play. If Devavesman Krishnan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devavesman Krishnan struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Avitsit Basrai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swinton. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeet Jha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Teju Chaddha came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Swinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teju Chaddha couldn't finish the play. Guntas Dube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeet Jha in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devavesman Krishnan in the 64th minute of play forced Fordingbridge's goalkeeper Avitsit Basrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Teju Chaddha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swinton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teju Chaddha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jayalakshm Pujari fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swinton's protests and gave Jayalakshm Pujari a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Swinton got a freekick which was hit by Jayalakshm Pujari. After 78 minutes of play, Swinton's Devavesman Krishnan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Avitsit Basrai was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Fordingbridge's Jeet Jha in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Swinton's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Swinton's goal looked a bit too open when Aparimita Wahlia came free, but Guntas Dube reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jeet Jha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Swinton eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
