Abhimoda Dhami hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Iksuda Sengupta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jivadeva Chakma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akrsnakarman Chandha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iksuda Sengupta having to interfere. Iksuda Sengupta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jivadeva Chakma's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When Talvir Shetty fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southampton United's protests and gave Talvir Shetty a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Talvir Shetty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, Southampton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abhimoda Dhami to maneuver through the defense. If Akrsnakarman Chandha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Southampton United! When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Nailsea's Jagjit Malhotra got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iksuda Sengupta. If Akrsnakarman Chandha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Southampton United's Iksuda Sengupta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jivadeva Chakma in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Akrsnakarman Chandha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nailsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akrsnakarman Chandha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Southampton United's zone, Jivadeva Chakma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iksuda Sengupta came out of the goal and Jivadeva Chakma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iksuda Sengupta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Akrsnakarman Chandha's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes of play, Nailsea's Jivadeva Chakma made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iksuda Sengupta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narinderjeet Basra kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Southampton United got a freekick which was hit by Talvir Shetty. 62 minutes into the match, Southampton United's goal looked a bit too open when Akrsnakarman Chandha came free, but Iksuda Sengupta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Jivadeva Chakma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Southampton United booed when Nailsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyutita Chopra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute Jivadeva Chakma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iksuda Sengupta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Akrsnakarman Chandha struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Iksuda Sengupta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nailsea. After 75 minutes, Baliman Sharma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southampton United and the Nailsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Southampton United got a freekick which was hit by Baliman Sharma. Dyutita Chopra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iksuda Sengupta having to interfere. Dhyanayogi Shrivastav was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Baliman Sharma capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baliman Sharma really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Iksuda Sengupta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jivadeva Chakma in the 85th minute of the match. Jivadeva Chakma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Iksuda Sengupta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Akrsnakarman Chandha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iksuda Sengupta. Southampton United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akrsnakarman Chandha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jivadeva Chakma in the 95th minute of play forced Southampton United's goalkeeper Iksuda Sengupta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nailsea had played much better football throughout.
