Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rajbir Dalvi started the match with the kick off. Asruta Sen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Devarha Hundal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mahendra Shindi came free, but Ratanbir Paranjpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devarha Hundal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guruswamy Rathod in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's Alpasaras Samra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alpasaras Samra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stanford le Hope UnitedFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alpasaras Samra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th minute, one of Stanford le Hope UnitedFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stanford le Hope UnitedFC. Ratanbir Paranjpe was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Kamaljeet Linyu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kamaljeet Linyu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Atithigva Dasgupta kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Diptatapas Dias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ratanbir Paranjpe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Scunthorpe's Diptatapas Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ratanbir Paranjpe. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. Ratanbir Paranjpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balastha Das in the 34th minute of the match. Ratanbir Paranjpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahendra Shindi in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ayati Siddhu came free, but Ratanbir Paranjpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Balastha Das scored to the left of an out of position Ratanbir Paranjpe, making the score, 4-0. Balastha Das received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ratanbir Paranjpe came out and tried to block the shot, but Balastha Das slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 45th minute.

51 minutes into the match, Diptatapas Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ratanbir Paranjpe. Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diptatapas Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 55 minutes into the game, Scunthorpe's Kamaljeet Linyu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ratanbir Paranjpe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 58th minute Diptatapas Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ratanbir Paranjpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Mahendra Shindi notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's Ratanbir Paranjpe. Ratanbir Paranjpe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ratanbir Paranjpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balastha Das, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Scunthorpe's Devarha Hundal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Scunthorpe from getting a goal against them. Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's Ratanbir Paranjpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamaljeet Linyu in the 78th minute of play. Rajbir Dalvi hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Diptatapas Dias took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ratanbir Paranjpe. Ratanbir Paranjpe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahendra Shindi in the 88th minute of play forced Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's goalkeeper Ratanbir Paranjpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asruta Sen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Scunthorpe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
