The audience thought a goal was coming when Mongkol Kongmee got free with Koranop Buntee in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ban Ko Tao's goalkeeper Somboon Pornpradit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Koranop Buntee successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wichit Chiyanan's late challenge caught a Ban Dong Prakham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wichit Chiyanan helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Ban Ko Tao got a freekick which was hit by Wichit Chiyanan. Torn Jamroen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Somboon Pornpradit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ban Dong Prakham's Kittipoj Soiyodthong in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ban Ko Tao's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Tawagrit Waiyarup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ban Dong Prakham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tawagrit Waiyarup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Teerapat Pinijsuwon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ban Ko Tao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ban Dong Prakham the free kick. If Kittipat Kanjanakunton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the match, Ban Dong Prakham's goal looked a bit too open when Runchit Jirawanna came free, but Koranop Buntee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ban Dong Prakham's Torn Jamroen got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Somboon Pornpradit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torn Jamroen in the 36th minute of play. Ban Ko Tao's Somboon Pornpradit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tawagrit Waiyarup in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes Ban Ko Tao's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tawagrit Waiyarup who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Ban Dong Prakham getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Pichai Wutidilokprapan hit a great ball. Somboon Pornpradit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torn Jamroen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Tawagrit Waiyarup ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Somboon Pornpradit was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kittipoj Soiyodthong made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ban Dong Prakham getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kittipoj Soiyodthong hit a great ball. If Wichit Chiyanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tawagrit Waiyarup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Somboon Pornpradit having to interfere. Tawagrit Waiyarup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Somboon Pornpradit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kittipoj Soiyodthong, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Sittichok Rattanasaeng fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ban Dong Prakham eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
