Đặng Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Thuy in the 7th minute of the match. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Minh-ha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phan Thi during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Phan Thi kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Việt Nam getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Trần Duong hit a great ball. The long shot by Trần Hung in the 20th minute really tested Nguyễn Minh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 27th minute, Trần Minh-ha made a precise shot to the right of Đặng Liem. Cheo Reo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Thi in the 30th minute of play forced Việt Nam's goalkeeper Nguyễn Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Minh-ha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Hung helped the player get up and apologised. Nguyễn Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Thi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Phan Thi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Minh-ha in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Đặng Liem saved Cheo Reo from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Phan Quang Thanh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phan Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nguyễn Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Minh-ha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phan Thi, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Bay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cheo Reo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Việt Nam the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Cheo Reo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Bay to maneuver through the defense. Cheo Reo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Trần Minh-ha scored to the left of an out of position Đặng Liem, making the score, 0-2. Việt Nam's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
