Dien Bien Phu
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dương Minh kicked off to start the match. Nguyễn Phu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dương Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dien Bien Phu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dương Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Phuc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nguyễn Tuyet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tran having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Dien Bien Phu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Viet to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, phong deptrai's Trần Phuc got control of the ball when Dương Ho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dương Ho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If La Tuan Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bùi Hoang charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bùi Hoang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Bùi Hoang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match, Dương Ho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Trần Phuc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. La Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nguyễn Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Tuan Hoang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tran having to make a save. Nguyễn Tuyet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tran having to make a save. Nguyễn Tuyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Hoang hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Dien Bien Phu's Nguyễn Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by La Tuan Hoang in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Nguyễn Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Phuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dương Ho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Dương Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Phuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from La Tuan Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of Dien Bien Phu booed when phong deptrai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dien Bien Phu's Phan Tuan Hoang tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Nguyễn Viet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Phuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dương Minh came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Dien Bien Phu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dương Minh couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dương Ho in the 96th minute of play forced phong deptrai's goalkeeper Trần Phuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Dien Bien Phu. Phan Tuan Hoang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Trần Phuc. 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
