Jithu Kang might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Merlin Mathews. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jithu Kang ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Shepshed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azly Tuan to maneuver through the defense. Amir Ee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Mathews having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Jithu Kang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jithu Kangs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Merlin Mathews to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25th match minute, Shepshed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jithu Kang to maneuver through the defense. Dale Yi-Sheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dale Yi-Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zak Seng, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Rifqi Laycock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zak Seng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Dale Yi-Sheng made a huge save. The nice shot from Zak Seng in the 65thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Dale Yi-Sheng had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amir Braddell got free with Dale Yi-Sheng in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shepshed's Dale Yi-Sheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rifqi Laycock in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Coleshill defense, Jithu Kang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Mathews. The Coleshill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Mathews should have stopped the shot. Amir Ee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merlin Mathews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jithu Kang, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Coleshill getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Clive Shiong hit a great ball. If Wong Hsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dale Yi-Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rifqi Laycock, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Jithu Kang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coleshill's Merlin Mathews was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shepshed's Jithu Kang got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dale Yi-Sheng was a little too slow when Rifqi Laycock got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 3-2. There was no doubt that Shepshed were the better team. Shepshed's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
