Shahiran Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khai Teo in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Milton Warriors booed when Rugeley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amirul Low didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faiz Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Amaral having to interfere. When Haziq Devan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rugeley City's protests and gave Haziq Devan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Milton Warriors booed when Rugeley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haziq Devan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes, Khai Teo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rugeley City's Shahiran Lim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Shahiran Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khai Teo in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Khai Teo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Shahiran Lim to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th match minute, Milton Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Leng to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alif Keng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rugeley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Alif Keng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd match minute, Rugeley City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alif Keng to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Rugeley City's goalkeeper Shahiran Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khai Teo. Rugeley City's Shahiran Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Celio in the 46th minute of play. If Khai Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

61 minutes into the game, Milton Warriors's Khai Teo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shahiran Lim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azly Chian in the 67th minute of play forced Rugeley City's goalkeeper Shahiran Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Khai Teo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milton Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Khai Teo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shahiran Lim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shahiran Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Celio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alif Keng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jorge Amaral made a huge save. Alam Dryburgh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Alif Keng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shahiran Lim came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Milton Warriors's Khai Teo. But to his dismay, Khai Teo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Khai Teo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Shahiran Lim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milton Warriors. When Khai Teo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Milton Warriors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khai Teo couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Alam Dryburgh got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 96th match minute, Milton Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shafiq Lee to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Alif Keng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Milton Warriors fully deserved thier win.
