Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) Formby's Clive Chandran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The throw-in from Shafiq Seng in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Formby's Sarb Choo. Bineesh Soon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Keng got free with Bineesh Soon in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Milton Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Chandran came free, but Jorge Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khai Teo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Bineesh Soon 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Siang in the 30th minute of play forced Milton Warriors's goalkeeper Jorge Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Formby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sarb Choo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Milton Warriors's Leon Celio tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Formby's Bineesh Soon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Formby from getting a goal against them. Bineesh Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Celio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Khai Teo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Keng scored 4-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bineesh Soon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bineesh Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khai Teo in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Shah Hong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milton Warriors the free kick. Shah Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Prime Siang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prime Siang in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Amaral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jorge Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Prime Siang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 72 minute of play. In the 76th minute Jonathan Keng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bineesh Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prime Siang struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jorge Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formby. Prime Siang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Prime Siang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Khairul Devan hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Leon Celio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bineesh Soon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Khai Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Formby's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
