Mujahid Au made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Ramachandran in the 34th minute of play. Mujahid Au took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aziz Tee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes North Baddesley got a freekick which was hit by Joel Devan. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Nair to make the kick off. When Steven Chian came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the North Baddesley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steven Chian couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, Harold Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Chian came free, but SK Pillai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Didi Ramachandran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harold Hill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Ramachandran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Aziz Tee took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Mujahid Au to make any attempt to save it. In the 64th minute Harold Hill were awarded a corner. Aziz Tee went to the cornerflag to take it. Didi Ramachandran scored 0-5 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mujahid Au, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mujahid Au made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Jerry Seng sent off a good shot on target. Mujahid Au made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Didi Ramachandran sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Aziz Tee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mujahid Au saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The North Baddesley fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Harold Hill were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
