Samuel Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Ning in the 4th minute of the match. Samuel Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Bemabe in the 5th minute of play. Harolld Hill's Samuel Tan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Ning in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Herminio Bemabe made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Tan. Harolld Hill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th match minute, SouthSingapore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haziq Wah to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Herminio Bemabe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Tan was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Samuel Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Bemabe, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Herminio Bemabe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Samuel Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Harolld Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Bemabe came free, but Samuel Tan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match, Jerry Ning tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Samuel Tan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 75th minute Jerry Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Jerry Ning cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Samuel Tan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Harolld Hill's zone, Herminio Bemabe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Tan came out of the goal and Herminio Bemabe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Tan was a little too slow when Jerry Ning got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-3. Samuel Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Ning, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Samuel Tan was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Jerry Ning capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jerry Ning really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. SouthSingapore's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
