After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rifki Siong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Rifki Siong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faiz Shiong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dale Sim got in the 7th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Darren Siong handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Rifki Siong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southbourne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alex Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faiz Shiong having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Rifki Siong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Faiz Shiong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faiz Shiong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Lee's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Merlin Lim got free with Darren Siong in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Dale Sim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Siong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faiz Shiong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamir Vijiaratnam in the 39th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rifki Siong made a kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faiz Shiong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Southbourne's Shah Soon got a free kick in the 90th minute. The supporters of Runcorn AFC booed when Southbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ong Boon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Runcorn AFC's Noh Ramachandran broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Southbourne's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Sim came free, but Darren Siong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Southbourne left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Runcorn AFC.
