But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Singh couldn't finish the play. Dale Sim scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afiq Politiek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aziz Singh might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afiq Politiek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aziz Singh ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when Alex Pieng made the kick off in the second half. 0-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Dale Sim elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Afiq Politiek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Sim, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Aziz Singh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aziz Singh struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Afiq Politiek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runcorn AFC. In the 79th minute, Afiz Yeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Afiq Politiek throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dale Sim in the 83rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Dale Sim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afiq Politiek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aziz Singh in the 95th minute. When the match was over Runcorn AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Harolld Hill throughout the match.
