Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robert Vaisey started the match with the kick off. Bern Haskell came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Stewarts's Boyde Hinder. But to his dismay, Boyde Hinder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bern Haskell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyde Hinder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Vaisey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bern Haskell having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Boyde Hinder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bern Haskell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 21 played minutes Moorabbin got a freekick which was hit by Brandes Brandie. In the 27th minute, Boyde Hinder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stewarts fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 30 minutes into the match, Stewarts's Robert Vaisey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bern Haskell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Earle Atkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Earle Atkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Oreilly having to interfere. Antonia Laws hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Robert Vaisey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Stewarts were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stewarts's goalkeeper Mitchell Oreilly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Boyde Hinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Earle Atkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitchell Oreilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitchell Oreilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earle Atkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Earle Atkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Oreilly having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Bern Haskell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 83 minutes, Robert Vaisey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stewarts's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Vaisey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonia Laws hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Stewarts's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
