Bud Luckham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelius Pywell having to make a save. If Kelvin Coote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Trayning's zone, Bickford Gwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyle Curtis came out of the goal and Bickford Gwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trayning's Kyle Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin Coote in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kelvin Coote got free with Kyle Curtis in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bickford Gwin had several of the Trayning's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Kyle Curtis as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bruno Gannan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cornelius Pywell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kelvin Coote struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Kyle Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leigh. Kelvin Coote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Curtis having to interfere. Trayning's Kyle Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bickford Gwin in the 32nd minute of play. Kyle Curtis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bickford Gwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Bud Luckham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cornelius Pywell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Gannan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Bud Luckham made a precise shot to the right of Cornelius Pywell. Leigh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bickford Gwin to make the kick off. Aron Cridland hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Leigh's Bickford Gwin in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trayning's goalie prevented a goal. Bickford Gwin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Kyle Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leigh. Kyle Curtis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kelvin Coote in the 62nd minute of the match. Bruno Gannan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cornelius Pywell came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno Gannan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 71st minute. Bickford Gwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Curtis having to interfere. Leigh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Bud Luckham scored to the left of an out of position Cornelius Pywell, making the score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Duke Rummens got a free kick in the 84th minute. Kelvin Coote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kyle Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Leigh's Bickford Gwin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kyle Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Trayning's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
