Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dani Glover started the match with the kick off. Dagan Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Reilly having to interfere. A collision led to Boorcan getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ed Lamb hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dani Glover during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Boorcan got a freekick which was hit by Dani Glover. After having played for 9 minutes, Pearce Gavin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bower's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearce Gavin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 10 in the game by Edwin Turnbull from a close distance when the talented Antonia Bleazard managed to make a qualified save. Boorcan's players were relieved. In the 11th minute, Samuel Roach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bower's Earl Maddern got a free kick in the 12th minute. With an all-out effort, Bower's Antonia Bleazard threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pearce Gavin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A hard shot 15 in the game by Pearce Gavin from a close distance when the talented Antonia Bleazard managed to make a qualified save. Boorcan's players were relieved. When Pearce Gavin came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Bower fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearce Gavin couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Bower was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earl Maddern to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Earl Maddern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bower and the Boorcan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Earl Maddern hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Dagan Schulze got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Malcolm Reilly was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dagan Schulze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Malcolm Reilly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Boorcan's Dagan Schulze nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malcolm Reilly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The Bower players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boorcan were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Pearce Gavin made the kick off in the second half. Darryl Connolly hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Boorcan's Antonia Bleazard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Watman in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Dani Glover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Reilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Brian Beverly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dani Glover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagan Schulze got free with Malcolm Reilly in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dagan Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Reilly having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Bower's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Lamb came free, but Malcolm Reilly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ed Lamb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dagan Schulze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Malcolm Reilly made a huge save. Dani Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwin Turnbull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonia Bleazard having to interfere. Boorcan's Antonia Bleazard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pearce Gavin in the 92nd minute of play.
