But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Byron Richard couldn't finish the play. Magpies's Lorimer Weeks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Magpies from getting a goal against them. Aron Bowman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorimer Weeks having to make a save. Hale Tevelien's late challenge caught a Magpies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hale Tevelien helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, The Amateurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hale Tevelien to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Magpies defense, Payne Dollymore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorimer Weeks. The Magpies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorimer Weeks should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Aron Bowman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Amateurs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magpies the free kick. In the 28th match minute, The Amateurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Bowman to maneuver through the defense. Randle Sinden hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The Amateurs's Fabian Smoothy shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lorimer Weeks but with some difficulty. 35 minutes into the game, Magpies's Kenneth Maunsell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Dearn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Magpies getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Randle Sinden hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Aron Bowman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorimer Weeks. The goal made the score 2-1. Lorimer Weeks made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Byron Richard sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Loyd Stevenson made a kick off. Kenneth Maunsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When The Amateurs's Byron Richard in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Amateurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Richard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorimer Weeks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aron Bowman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Byron Richard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Byron Richard managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Amateurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Richard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorimer Weeks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorimer Weeks came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Amateurs's Aron Bowman. But to his dismay, Aron Bowman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The Amateurs's Byron Richard got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Bowman came free, but Lorimer Weeks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Amateurs had played much better football throughout.
