Bungunya's Danton Marsland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Bungunya from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Quakers Hill's Reginald Sylvester got a free kick in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Barry Powell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Duggan was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Marcus Duggan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Slattery in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quakers Hill's zone, Barry Powell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Duggan came out of the goal and Barry Powell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Slattery in the 23rd minute of play forced Quakers Hill's goalkeeper Marcus Duggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humphrey Rafferty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quakers Hill's goalkeeper Marcus Duggan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quakers Hill's Marcus Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Powell in the 33rd minute of play. Humphrey Rafferty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quakers Hill's Bleyd Lambourne got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danton Marsland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bleyd Lambourne in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humphrey Rafferty to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Bungunya's goal looked a bit too open when Humphrey Rafferty came free, but Danton Marsland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Powell in the 54th minute of play forced Quakers Hill's goalkeeper Marcus Duggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Quakers Hill's Marcus Duggan got control of the ball when Henry Slattery tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reginald Sylvester was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 57 played minutes Quakers Hill got a freekick which was hit by Reginald Sylvester. In the 59th match minute, Bungunya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alford Cubit to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Quakers Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Powell came free, but Marcus Duggan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Duggan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barry Powell's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Barry Powell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quakers Hill's Marcus Duggan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Barry Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bungunya's Henry Slattery got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barry Powell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Duggan having to interfere. If Bleyd Lambourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bleyd Lambourne in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danton Marsland saved Bungunya from getting behind. Marcus Duggan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Slattery in the 85th minute. Douglas Wharton's late challenge caught a Quakers Hill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Wharton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Douglas Wharton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Quakers Hill's Barnabas Woodbridge tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Bleyd Lambourne came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Quakers Hill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bleyd Lambourne couldn't finish the play.
