Spectators: 6850 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) Bungunya's Barry Powell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Justin Mills managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellard's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Mills was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danton Marsland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes into the game, Wellard's Bremen Auger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danton Marsland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Justin Mills managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellard's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Mills was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danton Marsland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Wharton's late challenge caught a Wellard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Wharton helped the player get up and apologised. Douglas Wharton hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes, Justin Mills made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bungunya's Danton Marsland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jesse Wadley hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Bryanne Czaczka kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Wellard's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Powell came free, but Bran Spurr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Bungunya got a freekick which was hit by Duncan Orourke. Danton Marsland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Mills, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bremen Auger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Danton Marsland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bremen Auger in the 35th minute of play. Danton Marsland came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellard's Bremen Auger. But to his dismay, Bremen Auger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 39 minutes into the match, Bungunya's goal looked a bit too open when Bremen Auger came free, but Danton Marsland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Bungunya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jared Pustak to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Bremen Auger made the kick off in the second half. Justin Mills in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danton Marsland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Barry Powell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bran Spurr read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Jared Pustak kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wellard's James Hilton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bungunya. 71 minutes into the match, Wellard's Bremen Auger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danton Marsland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bremen Auger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danton Marsland was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Bremen Auger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd play minute Justin Mills came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Danton Marsland. 0-5. After some careless play in the Bungunya defense, Justin Mills kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danton Marsland. The Bungunya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danton Marsland should have stopped the shot. After some careless play in the Wellard defense, Henry Slattery kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bran Spurr. The Wellard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bran Spurr should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wellard eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
