Spectators: 6525 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Myles Butterfield started the match with the kick off. Bran Devere's late challenge caught a Scorpion United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bran Devere helped the player get up and apologised. Sam Couzens was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Scorpion United FC's Stanley Maybury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myles Butterfield in the 9th minute of play. When Edison Lingwoodock fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brookong's protests and gave Edison Lingwoodock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Edison Lingwoodock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reese Holdsworth in the 15th minute of play forced Scorpion United FC's goalkeeper Stanley Maybury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Brookong booed when Scorpion United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Mueller didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brookong's Myles Butterfield in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scorpion United FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute, Reese Holdsworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanley Maybury was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Stanley Maybury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myles Butterfield in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Reese Holdsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brookong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reese Holdsworth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jeremy Mueller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Jeremy Mueller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scorpion United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy Mueller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Dallas Todman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Brookong were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dallas Todman came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Scorpion United FC's Jeremy Mueller. But to his dismay, Jeremy Mueller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Myles Butterfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanley Maybury didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Brookong's Edison Lingwoodock got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Edison Lingwoodock off the ground. The supporters of Scorpion United FC booed when Brookong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edison Lingwoodock didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reese Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st match minute, Brookong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myles Butterfield to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quincy Missen during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Quincy Missen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Patrick Waterland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremy Mueller in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dallas Todman saved Brookong from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jeremy Mueller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scorpion United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremy Mueller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dallas Todman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
