After a defensive mix-up in Hawthorn FC's zone, Sidney Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burns Deal came out of the goal and Sidney Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawthorn FC's goalkeeper Burns Deal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hendratmo Suwondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Payne Roach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Schoenke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Sidney Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Burns Deal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Burns Deal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Goiano in the 26th minute of the match. Burns Deal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Goiano in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Bunnaby got a corner. Hawthorn FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sidney Goiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luck Day did an outstanding performance 31 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Ray Schoenke in the goal. Payne Roach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sidney Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Case Convine reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Burns Deal. The goal made the score 2-1. After 45 minutes of play, Hawthorn FC's Birrell Mitchell made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ray Schoenke was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidney Goiano made a kick off. If Alexander Clark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthias Gray during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthias Gray kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Payne Roach charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Payne Roach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hawthorn FC's Payne Roach got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Goiano in the 63rd minute of play forced Hawthorn FC's goalkeeper Burns Deal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Matt Delbridge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bunnaby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Burns Deal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Alexander Clark fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bunnaby's protests and gave Alexander Clark a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sidney Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Burns Deal was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute Sidney Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burns Deal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birrell Mitchell hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Sidney Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hawthorn FC's Burns Deal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Gray in the 80th minute of play. Jess Andrews kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Hawthorn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Goiano came free, but Burns Deal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Burns Deal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bunnaby's Sidney Goiano in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawthorn FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 95 minutes of play, Bunnaby's Case Convine made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Burns Deal was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Bunnaby players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
