The crowd rose to their feet as Brookong's Reese Holdsworth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ray Schoenke. That made the score 2-0 after 8 minutes of play. 12 minutes into the match, Bunnaby's goalkeeper Ray Schoenke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edison Lingwoodock. A collision led to Bunnaby getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Matt Delbridge hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bran Devere during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22ndth minute of the game Sidney Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brookong's Dallas Todman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bunnaby's Jamese Rutledge got a free kick in the 25th minute. Benjamin Odonahoo's late challenge caught a Bunnaby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Odonahoo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Brookong getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Benjamin Odonahoo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Goiano in the 34th minute of play forced Brookong's goalkeeper Dallas Todman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bunnaby's Case Convine got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Bran Devere came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Brookong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bran Devere couldn't finish the play. Brookong's Dallas Todman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Goiano in the 41st minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Myles Butterfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Case Convine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthias Gray hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ray Schoenke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myles Butterfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute Lawrance Leach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Schoenke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Delbridge during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dallas Todman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Goiano in the 67th minute. Case Convine struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Dallas Todman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunnaby. 88 minutes into the match, Bunnaby's goal looked a bit too open when Edison Lingwoodock came free, but Ray Schoenke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexander Clark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Sidney Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Case Convine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dallas Todman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle, Brookong could leave the field as winners, despite Bunnaby having more of the ball for most of the match.
