A collision led to Landsborough getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jackson Morey hit a great ball. When Damon Cubitt fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scorpion United FC's protests and gave Damon Cubitt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Damon Cubitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Hank Rosenboom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanley Maybury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendon Wakefield during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Scorpion United FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Brendon Wakefield hit a great ball. Stanley Maybury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brown Black, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Stanley Maybury didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Landsborough's Brown Black shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Hank Rosenboom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Brown Black's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanley Maybury was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brown Black in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanley Maybury saved Scorpion United FC from getting behind. A collision led to Landsborough getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Herbert Haberle hit a great ball. After 40 minutes of play, Landsborough's Brown Black made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanley Maybury was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stanley Maybury took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Rosenboom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brown Black in the 47th minute of play forced Scorpion United FC's goalkeeper Stanley Maybury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Scorpion United FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Landsborough were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremy Mueller to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Scorpion United FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Quincy Missen hit a great ball. Hank Rosenboom struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Stanley Maybury didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landsborough. 58 minutes into the match, Patrick Waterland notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Landsborough's Berry Brady. Berry Brady was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stanley Maybury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brown Black in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, Scorpion United FC's Stanley Maybury got control of the ball when Hank Rosenboom tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Scorpion United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Quinnell to maneuver through the defense. Stanley Maybury made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Jackson Morey sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the game, Patrick Waterland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Berry Brady was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Brown Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Hank Rosenbooms short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Stanley Maybury to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stanley Maybury came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Landsborough's Hank Rosenboom. But to his dismay, Hank Rosenboom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Landsborough left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Scorpion United FC.
