Spectators: 7964 (Terracing: 6095, Seating: 1869, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Myles Death kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Myles Death shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Cave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Amos Keam put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Herbert Cave. Amos Keam scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Cave, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Myles Death dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herbert Cave, 3-0. Rodney Cave made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Carlisle in the 26th minute of play. Herbert Cave was a little too slow when Myles Death got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 4-0. Amos Keam's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Herbert Cave skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Herbert Cave got control of the ball when Amos Keam tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Amos Keam came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the BVB09 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Keam couldn't finish the play. Myles Death sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amos Keam in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Herbert Cave, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamie Carlisle was the one to do the kick off. Herbert Cave took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Myles Death, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amos Keam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Osbiston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BVB09's Jarrod Howie got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Patrick Osbiston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BVB09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Osbiston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Osbiston came free, but Herbert Cave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, BVB09's Amos Keam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Cave narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patrick Osbiston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Sydney FC defense, Bock Hart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Cave. The Sydney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Cave should have stopped the shot. Herbert Cave took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Osbiston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Osbiston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78thth minute of the game Patrick Osbiston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sydney FC's Herbert Cave was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herbert Cave made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myles Death in the 82nd minute of play. Herbert Cave showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Keam in the 95th minute of the match. Patrick Osbiston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BVB09 had played much better football throughout.
