Norman Beattie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byrne Coleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The Penaldo Pessi FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Penaldo Pessi FC's Rodd Pearman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Rodd Pearman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lance Johnston having to make a save. In the 93rdth minute of the game Rodd Pearman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sydney SOKYO FC's Lance Johnston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Penaldo Pessi FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
