Spectators: 8053 (Terracing: 6041, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bryant Edwards got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Byron Parryman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quandialla and the Poneke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Byron Parryman kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Quandialla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Brien to maneuver through the defense. Jarrett Freeman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Corey Tout. 10 minutes into the game, Arne Prinsep cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jarrett Freeman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14thth minute of the game Blade Cameron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poneke's Darryl Mcquoid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Poneke defense, Marcus Brien kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darryl Mcquoid. The Poneke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darryl Mcquoid should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Bryant Edwards cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jarrett Freeman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Arne Prinsep fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poneke's protests and gave Arne Prinsep a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quandialla booed when Poneke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Prinsep didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bryant Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryant Edwards struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jarrett Freeman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poneke. Jarrett Freeman came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Poneke's Bryant Edwards. But to his dismay, Bryant Edwards quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 46th minute, Allen Bouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

54 minutes into the match, Poneke's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Gillingwater came free, but Darryl Mcquoid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blade Cameron got free with Darryl Mcquoid in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Poneke's Darryl Mcquoid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Poneke from getting a goal against them. Nick Coldicutt's late challenge caught a Quandialla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nick Coldicutt helped the player get up and apologised. Nick Coldicutt hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Darryl Mcquoid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Gillingwater in the 61st minute of play. If Arne Prinsep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Belton Batterham came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Poneke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belton Batterham couldn't finish the play. If Bryant Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaffery Heberle hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belton Batterham in the 81st minute of play forced Quandialla's goalkeeper Jarrett Freeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Freeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryant Edwards's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Darian Annis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bryant Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jarrett Freeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Poneke fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Poneke's Bryant Edwards looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Corey Tout hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Poneke had played much better football throughout.
