Grimulators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marshal Kinsey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Al Angell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimulators's Rod Mclatchey was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Barnes Hunter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 28 minutes into the game, Roy Mudie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Devils United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grimulators the free kick. After a rather tough play, Red Devils United's Roy Mudie got a free kick in the 29th minute. Roy Mudie got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Grimulators booed when Red Devils United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Mudie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 minutes, Bern Pears made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Grimulators's Burt Blattman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Bunworth was the one to do the kick off. Bern Pears struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Burt Blattman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Devils United. The crowd rose to their feet as Randolph Hunn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Burt Blattman. That made the score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 60th minute, Brandon Bunworth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grimulators fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 70 minutes into the match, Grimulators's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Arkinstall came free, but Burt Blattman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Randolph Hunn made a precise shot to the right of Burt Blattman. Grimulators's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Red Devils United's Barnes Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshal Kinsey in the 75th minute of play. Marshal Kinsey scored 2-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barnes Hunter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Randolph Hunn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Devils United's supporters rose to their feet, but Randolph Hunn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burt Blattman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshal Kinsey in the 91st minute of play forced Red Devils United's goalkeeper Barnes Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burt Blattman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randolph Hunn in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Red Devils United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grimulators throughout the match.
