In the 12th minute Bryson Newham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doyle Newton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Ellam's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Ceney came free, but Doyle Newton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Soekirno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiger Mealmaker having to make a save. Bryson Newham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Favas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tiger Mealmaker firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
