Pierre Riley started the match with the kick off. Marshal Aliendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Riley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierre Riley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marshal Aliendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nick Egel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooker Coburn charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brooker Coburn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jastro City booed when Hedges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brooker Coburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berkeley Wenham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick Egel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pierre Riley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Jastro City's corner Raymond Perrett fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marshal Aliendi quite easily take care of the ball. Marshal Aliendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Egel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Pierre Riley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marshal Aliendi. Hedges's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierre Riley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berkeley Wenham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hedges's Marshal Aliendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Riley in the 53rd minute of play. Marshal Aliendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Riley in the 54th minute of play. Nick Egels short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Marshal Aliendi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Pierre Riley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Jastro City's Pierre Riley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marshal Aliendi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Egel got free with Marshal Aliendi in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Best Boserio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkeley Wenham in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Hedges's Berkeley Wenham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Best Boserio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Riley in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marshal Aliendi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nick Egel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marshal Aliendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berkeley Wenham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Best Boserio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Hedges's goalkeeper Marshal Aliendi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Egel.
