Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ellis Hoskin made the kick off and thus started the match. Angelo Waterland kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Reginald Maddern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nick Mcgregor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Nick Mcgregor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamese Mewburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, Mingoola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ike Mcgrath to maneuver through the defense. Elliott Kernick hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Mingoola's goalkeeper Philip Luckham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conner Perrett. Nick Mcgregor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamese Mewburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 25 played minutes, Mingoola's Gregory Sibbold shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nick Mcgregor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mingoola reached it. A collision led to Mingoola getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edwardo Stafford hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Ellis Hoskin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Philip Luckham. Ellis Hoskin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Ellis Hoskin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick Mcgregor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran Bennett in the 35th minute of play. Bevis Stafford hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Mingoola's goal looked a bit too open when Ellis Hoskin came free, but Philip Luckham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Finley booed when Mingoola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ike Mcgrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Conner Perrett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Philip Luckham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwardo Stafford during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mingoola's Edwardo Stafford got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jamese Mewburn to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jamese Mewburn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nick Mcgregor was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carter Berresford during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mingoola's Carter Berresford got a free kick in the 60th minute. Nick Palmington took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip Luckham. Mingoola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th minute, Mingoola's Bran Bennett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nick Mcgregor. Nick Mcgregor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Philip Luckham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Perrett in the 70th minute of play. Mingoola's Philip Luckham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ellis Hoskin in the 72nd minute of play. If Conner Perrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ellis Hoskin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Philip Luckham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ellis Hoskin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Luckham having to interfere. Philip Luckham came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Finley's Conner Perrett. But to his dismay, Conner Perrett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 89 minutes of play, Mingoola's Bran Bennett made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nick Mcgregor was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the match, Ellis Hoskin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Luckham. Mingoola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ellis Hoskin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Finley's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
