Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dale Butterworth kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Butterworth in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorimer Gissane saved Caringbah from getting behind. The Pembroke FC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Pembroke FC's Dale Butterworth looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dale Butterworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pembroke FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Butterworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorimer Gissane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stan Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Caringbah getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Quincy Warhurst hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Caringbah's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Butterworth came free, but Lorimer Gissane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorimer Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Stevens in the 14th minute of the match. Lorimer Gissane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Butterworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Stevens in the 16th minute of play. Lorimer Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichol Trenoweth in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Caringbah booed when Pembroke FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Kepert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginald Carragher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Carlisle Baxter made a huge save. Carlisle Baxter came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Caringbah's Reginald Carragher. But to his dismay, Reginald Carragher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Reginald Carragher kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 38thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Pembroke FC's keeper Carlisle Baxter was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After a defensive mix-up in Pembroke FC's zone, Antony Schonke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlisle Baxter came out of the goal and Antony Schonke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Caringbah booed when Pembroke FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichol Trenoweth didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Pembroke FC's Carlisle Baxter got control of the ball when Bart Ludwick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lorimer Gissane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnie Walkington in the 42nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Nelson during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Caringbah a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antony Schonke, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pembroke FC's Carlisle Baxter. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reginald Carragher was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pembroke FC's Larry Solomon got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Bart Ludwick came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Caringbah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Ludwick couldn't finish the play. Carlisle Baxter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginald Carragher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Alan Kepert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorimer Gissane. The goal made the score 2-2. The supporters of Pembroke FC booed when Caringbah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathaniel Favas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Reginald Carragher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Bart Ludwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Navin Borserio kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Caringbah from getting a goal against them. Carlisle Baxter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 99th minute, Antony Schonke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pembroke FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
