Dante Pero took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 24th minute of play. Washington de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Washington de Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Dante Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Vito Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. August Hoffmanns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3.

The wind increased when Anestis Kotsopoulos made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Tirense F.C. booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mesut Özil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dante Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tirense F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Pero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Vito Tasso took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for August Hoffmanns to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Dante Pero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal and Dante Pero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Tasso came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tirense F.C.'s Vito Tasso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but August Hoffmanns in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, 曾辉宁 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of August Hoffmanns, 2-6. Maximilian Henning struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Washington de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rot-Weiss-Essen. August Hoffmanns was a little too slow when Vito Tasso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-7. Tirense F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
