Vakaris Liutkus scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidijus Merkelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Nojus Bikas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lev Tolstoy. Skrajojantys Olandai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nojus Bikas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pere Bombardier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Tolstoy having to interfere. In the 28th minute Stavros Nasiopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Vakaris Liutkus came free, but Ovidijus Merkelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Stavros Nasiopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidijus Merkelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siemen Vitus in the 37th minute of play. When Nils-Åke Andersson fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geležinis Vilkas's protests and gave Nils-Åke Andersson a yellow card for diving instead. Nils-Åke Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siemen Vitus in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vakaris Liutkus in the 42nd minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pere Bombardier hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Eidvilas Daunoras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geležinis Vilkas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skrajojantys Olandai the free kick. Eidvilas Daunoras kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siemen Vitus to make the kick off. Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stavros Nasiopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Ovidijus Merkelis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferrer Acha to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Skrajojantys Olandai's Ovidijus Merkelis threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vakaris Liutkus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nojus Bikas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geležinis Vilkas's supporters rose to their feet, but Nojus Bikas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lev Tolstoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Siemen Vitus came free, but Ovidijus Merkelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eidvilas Daunoras to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Siemen Vitus came free, but Ovidijus Merkelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lev Tolstoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 96 played minutes Skrajojantys Olandai got a freekick which was hit by Zenonas Lukošaitis. Skrajojantys Olandai's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Geležinis Vilkas had won, even though Skrajojantys Olandai had held more of the ball.
