Orlando Perez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Urtsua Sanabre. Roneros F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Palmares Futebol Clube's Orlando Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urtsua Sanabre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 17 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Porto. Francisco Alagoano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danny Rubinos went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Ximenez Aller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Francisco Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Rubinos in the 25th minute of play forced Palmares Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Francisco Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ximenez Aller sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Roneros F.C. defense, Geraldo Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urtsua Sanabre. The Roneros F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urtsua Sanabre should have stopped the shot. Roneros F.C.'s Urtsua Sanabre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Gonçalves in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Palmares Futebol Clube booed when Roneros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Juarrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtsua Sanabre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Perez in the 35th minute of the match. Ximenez Aller's late challenge caught a Palmares Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ximenez Aller helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Roneros F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ximenez Aller hit a great ball. Urtsua Sanabre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 52nd match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Porto to maneuver through the defense. Roneros F.C.'s Urtsua Sanabre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Roneros F.C. from getting a goal against them. After 57 minutes, Danny Rubinos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roneros F.C. and the Palmares Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Gonçalves. 71 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Danny Rubinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Alagoano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ximenez Aller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Francisco Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dário Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Roneros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Mel. A collision led to Roneros F.C. getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Danny Rubinos hit a great ball. The Roneros F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palmares Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
