Meerkats FC's Alfred Pavia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Meerkats FC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th match minute, Meerkats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Teuma to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Rapa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Billy Holmes struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alfred Pavia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lisburn Distillery F.C.. Andrew Coyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Miggiani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rex Morley scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Pavia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tim Monreal charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Monreal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tim Monreal hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rex Morley to strike the kick off in the second half. Stephan Duca's late challenge caught a Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Pavia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leroy Broadhurst went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
