The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Los Muchachos del 86's Saverio Brion was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Mochila FC's goalkeeper Frederico Madureira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. Frederico Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saverio Brion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Madureira having to interfere. Saverio Brion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Madureira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Atahan Balon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Halland in the 17th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Jardel Matos made a precise shot to the right of Atahan Balon. Los Muchachos del 86's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 32nd match minute, Mochila FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Los Muchachos del 86's Saverio Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Saverio Brion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frederico Madureira. The goal made the score 2-1. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mochila FC from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute Ricardo-Enrique Bochini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erling Halland in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. Mochila FC's Sidnei Quintal was substituted for Oséias Dionísio. Mochila FC's Moisés Hoffmann was substituted for Eris Defaye. A collision led to Mochila FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Jardel Matos hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Los Muchachos del 86's Frederico Madureira threw himself towards the right post 49 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saverio Brion, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erling Halland made a kick off. Sidnei Quintal's late challenge caught a Los Muchachos del 86's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. Sidnei Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Halland came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ricardo-Enrique Bochini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Madureira was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Mochila FC's Ulises Fernanco was substituted for Erling Halland. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Brion in the 72nd minute of play forced Mochila FC's goalkeeper Frederico Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Ulises Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atahan Balon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulises Fernanco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 77 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Fernanco got free with Atahan Balon in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ulises Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Los Muchachos del 86's Damian Honesto in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mochila FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Mochila FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mochila FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
