It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viveque Savimbi kicked off to start the match. Ameen Mazhar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Mendes's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Ameen Mazhar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viveque Savimbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ameen Mazhar came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Angola's Viveque Savimbi. But to his dismay, Viveque Savimbi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. U21 Egypt's Ameen Mazhar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Quilempan in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viveque Savimbi in the 11th minute of play forced U21 Egypt's goalkeeper Ameen Mazhar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Angola's Magno Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walid Gomaa in the 12th minute of play. Essam Ramez kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Fábio Quilempan made a precise shot to the right of Ameen Mazhar. U21 Egypt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Ailton Curvelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ameen Mazhar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viveque Savimbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ailton Curvelo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ameen Mazhar. Ameen Mazhar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ameen Mazhar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ailton Curvelo in the 29th minute of play. Ameen Mazhar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viveque Savimbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Ailton Curvelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ameen Mazhar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viveque Savimbi scored 0-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ameen Mazhar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fábio Quilempan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ameen Mazhar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Angola booed when U21 Egypt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Essam Ramez didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walid Gomaa to make the kick off. Nuno Mendes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ameen Mazhar came out and tried to block the shot, but Nuno Mendes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, U21 Angola's Viveque Savimbi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ameen Mazhar. Ameen Mazhar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The audience was convinced that Nuno Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ameen Mazhar was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 62nd match minute, U21 Egypt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Essam Ramez to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Ezequiel Niz in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Egypt's Refaat Marwan. In the 67th minute, Nuno Viegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ameen Mazhar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viveque Savimbi in the 69th minute of play forced U21 Egypt's goalkeeper Ameen Mazhar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Egypt's attentive Refaat Marwan managed to snatch the ball when Paulo Ezequiel Niz made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. U21 Egypt's Essam Ramez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Miguel Duarte, made in the 74th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Mendes in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ameen Mazhar saved U21 Egypt from getting behind. After a rather tough play, U21 Egypt's Refaat Marwan got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Nuno Mendes notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of U21 Egypt's Ameen Mazhar. Ameen Mazhar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Essam Ramez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Egypt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Angola the free kick. The supporters of U21 Angola booed when U21 Egypt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Essam Ramez didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Egypt's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nuno Mendes 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-10. After some careless play in the U21 Angola defense, Walid Gomaa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Mendes. The U21 Angola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Mendes should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, U21 Angola's Fábio Quilempan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-11. Refaat Marwan hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ameen Mazhar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viveque Savimbi in the 95th minute of play. U21 Angola's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
